Skylarx should be connected to the original transmission source, it will not connect via a third party accessory. The Skylarx Transmitter needs to be connected directly to your set top box / Laptop etc and the Skylarx receiver needs to be connected to your TV screen / over head projector. The Amplifier will need to be connected directly to you TV screen via a separate HDMI cable (not supplied) for the Skylarx to work in this set-up.
Yes this is possible with the Skylarx . See Photos attached.
The units can be placed up to 30m apart as long as they are in line of site. This makes it perfect for larger meeting rooms and conferences or even events when you do not want to be trailing an HDMI cable across the space.
Skylarx uses radio waves rather than WiFi. The benefits of this are that you can use the devices even without a WiFi connection and don’t have to worry about signing in to WiFi, the screen sharing will not eat into bandwidth use and is more secure.
Our transmitter and receiver units measure 88mm x 90mm x 15mm and have been designed to be unintrusive in any meeting environment but also lightweight and easy to transport when presenting elsewhere.
Follow this simple guide to resolve this issue:
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Setup
3. Go to Audio Visual
4. Go to picture resolution
5. Select 1080p
6. Select Confirm
Your Skylarx units will now be able to pair easily with your Sky Q box / BT TV (UHD) STB. Note: Skylarx transmits 2160p at 30Hz whereas Sky Q transmits 2160p at 50Hz so if the 2160p setting is selected on your Sky Q box / BT TV (UHD) STB your Skylarx will not be able to pair.
Your iPad and iPhone will need to be connected to an external power source / power bank as the built in battery from these devices will not be sufficient to power the Skylarx on their own.
As their names imply, 4K UHD has a considerably higher resolution than 1080P HD video. 4K resolution is exactly 3840 x 2160 pixels, whilst 1080P consists of 1920 x 1080 pixels. By comparison, 4K features 2160 pixels vertically; a considerable increase.
This means that the Transmitter and Receiver units are pairing. Once the green lights are solid then this means the two units are connected and ready to use.
The unit with the GREEN HDMI outlet socket is the Transmitter, the unit with the RED HDMI outlet socket is the receiver. Also if you turn over the unit it also states on the label which is the Transmitter and which is the Receiver.
